CheekyMatcha had a brand personality that was working - checkerboard, a strong serif, a green and cream palette that felt right for the category. What they didn't have was a packaging system that could scale. They came to Tigera with a 30g bag and a list of formats that needed to follow it.
The challenge was designing across surfaces that all had different physical constraints - bags, cans, gift boxes, a wholesale brochure, stickers, a market stall tent - without the system falling apart between formats. Extending an existing identity is harder than starting from scratch, because every decision has to feel native to the brand rather than bolted on.
We added typefaces to the existing base, developed custom graphics, and built out the full packaging suite across 30g, 100g and 1kg bags, a second product variation, single serve cans, gift and PR boxes, a wholesale brochure, stickers and a market stall tent. Every format held. The checkerboard travelled.
