Over the past couple of months,  I have been taking my two German Shepherds to Aylwards Dog School in Rosewood, QLD for obedience and personal protection training.

Aylwards Dog School has been operating since 1988 as an training and boarding kennel run by Mike & Megan Aylward.   Mike Aylward is a Master Dog Trainer, a qualification that can only be obtained in the British Armed Forces.  He has accumulated over 45 years of experience with training dogs for police, guard, personal protection, drugs, tracking and explosives work in Europe and Asia.

I initially attended a dog obedience course at Aylwards in 1995 and I have taken my dogs to Aylwards for training ever since.  I can highly recommend Aylwards if you are considering obedience or protection training for your dog.  One of the primary reasons for recommending Aylwards is that Mike and Megan focus on training you to train your dog.  Mike and Megan’s extensive experience with training dogs provides you with the right guidance to train and handle your dog correctly.

Ofcourse, whilst I have been attending classes, I have taken my camera out to capture some photos of some of the dogs during training sessions and at play.  It is actually quite a challenge to get great shots of the dogs because they don’t exactly stop mid flight during training and  pose for the camera.  These photos are just a small number of the photos I have taken this year.  Enjoy! :)

Just love these photos of the shepherds, you have captured their character traits really well. Are you going to post more photos? I am really interested to see the others you have taken.

Hi – very great web site you have established. I enjoyed reading this posting. I did want to issue a comment to tell you that the design of this site is very aesthetically pleasing. I used to be a graphic designer, now I am a copy editor in chief for a firm. I have always enjoyed working with information processing systems and am attempting to learn computer code in my free time (which there is never enough of lol).
